Public Transport
Light Rail Studies from pre-feasibility studies, initial ridership and revenue forecasting, development of public transit solutions to detailed engineering design and construction and finally providing on-going technical support after construction.
Public Transport Interchanges for bus termini and rail stations, including large multi-modal facilities in major urban centres and local interchanges in smaller towns and cities.
Fare and Ticketing including the design of ticketing systems and fare regimes using latest technology such as magnetic stored value fare-cards and Smartcards.
Passenger Information system both before and during the journey through web-based systems and at termini, bus-stops / stations and on-vehicle.
Taxi Studies to assess the balance between supply and demand in the provision of taxi services, including hackney carriage and private hire in urban and rural areas.
Transport Monitoring – in order to assess the delivery of improvements it is necessary to measure network performance before, during and after implementation. We have developed sophisticated survey and statistical analysis techniques in order to assess and monitor the effectiveness of public transport improvements such as bus priority measures, bus routes and networks.
Urban Public Transport
Master Alliance has helped clients to develop integrated public transport solutions for large and small urban centres in urban cities. This has covered:
Bus Operations including the development of quality bus services, community transport, service planning, ridership and revenue forecasting, route costing and integration between bus and rail.
Master Alliance also carried out studies for Bus Priority and Enforcement to improve service reliability and reduce passenger journey times. We have monitored the effectiveness of bus priority schemes, designed and implemented bus lanes, segregated busways and special bus priority measures at junctions together with measures to facilitate effective enforcement.
Master Alliance provides studies for Park & Ride of both bus and rail, including the identification of suitable sites, development of the car parking facilities, design of associated priority measures and economic and financial feasibility studies
